Please note that we do not recommend using these plastics for direct replacements for parts that are involved in environments with a lot of wear and tear, as these materials cannot withstand physical resistance as other specialized plastics and metals. This includes environments where dangerous or acidic chemicals are used.
These plastics are biodegradable in very specific and controlled environments e.g. specialized composting facilities where temperatures exceed 80 °C and will not degrade outdoors or in soil, as there are no natural enzymes that break it down quickly. This means that it is important to recycle and dispose of buying products that are no longer in use to reduce and facilitate environmental waste impact to the world. Since most of our products are made out of single plastic material, it makes it a lot easier.
It is important to understand that these plastics are food-safe, but they are not sterile, therefore we do recommend at least washing them in warm soapy water before intending to use them in food environments. Unfortunately, not all plastics withstand dishwashers as they involve high-temperature and will deform in the process.
